Based on the true story of Detective Mario Oliveira

GUNRUNNER

A BIOGRAPHICAL CRIME DRAMA

Thank you for supporting Mario and his feature film GUNRUNNER. This film will be used as a vehicle to spread awareness about the necessary changes needed in legislation to bring justice to the men and women across America who are critically injured in the line of duty and forced to retire, as well as their families. To date, five states have adopted this new bill - leaving a large amount of work yet to be done in order for this to take effect nationwide. Everything will go directly to the development, production, promotion and eventual distribution of the film. Please note that gifts made through this website are not tax-deductible. There is hope... be the change!

THE PROCESS

Starting to make a film involves a series of methodical steps that transform an idea into a tangible project. It begins with script development, where writers craft a compelling narrative and dialogue, followed by securing financing to cover production costs. Once financial backing is in place, the next phase includes assembling a team, which involves hiring a director, cinematographer, and other key crew members. Pre-production tasks such as scouting locations, casting actors, and creating a shooting schedule are crucial for laying the groundwork. During this period, a detailed production plan is established to ensure that the project remains on track and within budget. Finally, as filming commences, the focus shifts to capturing the envisioned scenes while maintaining the creative vision of the film.

Violently Injured Police Officers (V.I.P.O.) Organization

Organization, founded by Massachusetts police officers, is a support group for law enforcement officers who have sustained serious, permanent injuries during a violent encounter in the line of duty. V.I.P.O. is a recognized non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.

Our mission is to provide peer support to law enforcement officers who have been seriously injured or have had to use deadly force in the line of duty. We provide support, information, and resources to these officers and their families in any way possible, to assist them in transitioning after suffering these physical and emotional injuries.

Our mission is to share our collective knowledge with our fellow police officers, so they have the tools they need for their road to recovery. It is our goal to provide this support and experience, especially to assist police departments throughout New England in establishing the proper policies, procedures, and protocols for line of duty deaths and serious bodily injuries.

Our mission is to bring change to existing laws by working with law makers to pass legislation that will provide benefits to law enforcement officers who are injured in the line of duty and forced to retire.

We hope our stories inspire other officers to fight to better this world and that any injured officer can continue to be the best that they can be as productive members of their communities.

Tone & Style
